Depending on available resources, opportunities may be available in our primary care, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatry programs.
What’s an Internship?
Internships are an opportunity for students and new graduates to gain work experience in a professional setting. An intern’s field of study dictates the level of supervision, number of hours, and type of work activity that is required.
Interns will have completed their Bachelor’s degree and actively be pursuing a Master’s degree or higher level of education. Current Axis employees receive priority placement.
What’s a Preceptorship?
Preceptorship is a structured period of transition where learners are supported by an experienced practitioner (a preceptor). It is designed to help develop confidence and enhance competence, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
What’s a Trainee?
A trainee is a person who is learning and practicing the skills of a particular job. The aim is to equip the trainee with the comprehensive knowledge and competencies needed to successfully perform in their chosen field.
