Samantha Jacobs, LPCC, MA-ED, MSCO-MHC

Meet Samantha Jacobs, LPCC, MA-ED, MSCO-MHC, a Therapist at Axis Health System Norwood. She works with people from all walks of life, in different places and situations. She’s helped people in crises, those struggling with drug issues, and individuals who need regular care. Samantha was a teacher for 26 years before she decided to then focus on helping people cope with personal struggles like feeling guilty, scared, or upset. She’s especially skilled in supporting people dealing with issues within their family or relationships.

Samantha loves working with kids and using play to help them feel better. She also gives parents fun and helpful ways to engage with their kids. She uses several strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help her clients feel better and live their best lives.

She earned her counseling degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and her teaching degree from Adam’s State University. She also has a history degree from Ohio Wesleyan University.

When she’s not working, Samantha loves spending time with her big family, including her five kids and two grandkids. She’s also a teacher on the internet, helping high school students. Samantha loves reading, doing puzzles, drawing, painting, taking pictures, and traveling.
